In 2020, I decided it was time to treat my hereditary hearing loss. Like many others, I had waited years, hesitant and unsure about the process. But when I dove in, I was met with an unexpected reality: the search for hearing aids was confusing, overwhelming, and frustrating.
I found myself sifting through a maze of options—huge variations in prices, care models, and technology levels—all without a clear roadmap. Even as someone comfortable navigating online research, I spent countless hours just trying to figure out which way was up.
It didn’t take long to realize how many others must be stuck in this same cycle, unsure where to start or whom to trust.

Roblox Hearing Aids
We’ve also taken hearing health into unexpected spaces. We recently launched a project that brought hearing aids to Roblox, the leading online gaming platform for kids in the United States. While Roblox previously offered over 1,000 glasses for game characters, it had no imaginative hearing aid options. Soundly gathered some talented designers to design imaginative hearing aids that players can add to their avatars’ outfits. This effort not only normalizes hearing aids but also celebrates them as an integral part of self-expression.
