Background

Jabra Enhance Select (Formerly called Lively) is one of our favorite offerings across the hearing aid world. GN owns the brand and uses the same underlying technology as the audiology leader, ReSound.

Jabra Enhance Select cuts down on the final ticket price by offering customization through a professional via Telehealth. If you choose Jabra Enhance Select, you'll never visit a clinic in person. Instead, you'll submit or take a hearing test online. A pair of professionally programmed and customized hearing aids will ship to your door. With your new devices in hand, Jabra will set up follow-up appointments via phone or video to make further adjustments.

We love how easy the process is, and after trialing Jabra Enhance Select, I'm a big fan of the overall quality and perks like 100-day returns and affordable prices.

Jabra Enhance Select offers several prices. Here's how to understand them.

The first price factor is technology level. Jabra Enhance Select offers three options:

Enhance Select 500 - $1,795 - 1,995
  • It comes with rechargeable batteries
  • Offers Bluetooth LE Audio streaming (Auracast ready) and hands-free calling on iPhone 11 (and newer) and compatible Android models
  • Most automatic adjustments in background noise using
Enhance Select 300 - $1,495 - $1,695
  • It comes with rechargeable batteries
  • Offers Bluetooth streaming
  • Some automatic adjustments in background noise
Jabra Enhance Select 50R - $1,195 - $1,395
  • It uses rechargeable batteries
  • Offers Bluetooth streaming
  • Less sophisticated in background noise

Once you choose a technology level, you must choose between "Basic" and "Premium" care levels. The devices themselves will stay the same regardless of your choice.

What's the difference?

Jabra Enhance Select "Basic" does not come with customization from a hearing professional. Instead, the device is an over-the-counter hearing aid with three pre-set modes for different types of hearing loss.

Use the app to choose "Fuller," "Normal," or "Clearer."

What do we recommend?

Premium vs basic care comparison

We recommend selecting the premium option for pretty much anyone. Why is that our recommendation?

We love the offering from Jabra Enhance Select because you get customized hearing aids programmed for your exact hearing loss.

"Basic" takes that advantage away, and we don't think it's worth the $200 discount for most people.

One note. You can upgrade your "Basic" selection during the return period for the product. You'll pay the price difference but can access professional support and full customization.
