Background
BeltoneTM has been helping people hear better for more than 80 years, with a focus on personalized care, innovative hearing technology, and improving everyday communication for those with hearing loss. Founded in Chicago in 1940, Beltone was built on the belief that everyone deserves to experience life's sounds clearly and confidently, a philosophy that continues to guide the company today. As part of the GN Group, a global leader in innovative hearing, Beltone combines decades of hearing care expertise with advanced technology and research. Through its commitment to innovation, trusted care, and natural hearing experiences, Beltone strives to help people stay connected to the moments and relationships that are important. With over 1500 Beltone office locations nationwide and offering a Lifetime of Care and Protection, they clearly focus on putting patients at the heart of hearing care.
What's New
Beltone Illuminate™ introduces a new AI-powered hearing platform focused on helping you hear more clearly in challenging environments without requiring constant adjustments.
Sound Processing
- AcoustIQ™ Environmental Awareness: AcoustIQ™ continuously monitors your listening environment and automatically activates the appropriate hearing features as conditions change. This allows Illuminate to respond quickly when you move between different environments, helping provide a more seamless listening experience throughout the day.
- Advanced Directional Hearing: Illuminate uses a synchronized four-microphone system that helps you focus on the sounds and conversations in front of you. Simply turning your head toward a speaker helps the hearing aids prioritize that voice naturally, making conversations easier to follow in noisy settings.
- AI-Powered Hearing in Noise: At the center of Illuminate is Beltone’s updated Deep Neural Network (DNN) denoising technology. Unlike many hearing aids that simply amplify the loudest sounds nearby, Illuminate is designed to identify and prioritize the speech you want to hear, helping conversations stand out while reducing listening effort.
Rechargeability
- World's Smallest AI Rechargeable Receiver-In-Canal (RIC): The rechargeable small RIC model combines advanced AI processing with one of the smallest receiver-in-canal designs available. Its discreet size helps deliver all-day comfort with up to 24 hours battery life while maintaining powerful hearing performance in noise.
Bluetooth Connectivity
Beltone has consistently been offering up to date hearing aid connectivity, and Illuminate continues that tradition. Illuminate supports Bluetooth® LE Audio technology. You can stream phone calls, music, podcasts, and other media directly to their hearing aids for a seamless listening experience.
- Auracast™ Ready: Illuminate continues to support Auracast broadcast audio, enabling direct streaming from compatible smartphones, tablets, televisions, and future public audio systems.
Beltone App
The Beltone HearMaxTM app allows users to adjust settings, personalize listening preferences, manage accessories, and make convenient adjustments directly from their smartphone.
Who Is Beltone Illuminate™ Best For?
Beltone Illuminate may be an excellent choice for people who:
- Want better speech understanding in noisy environments and access to latest Bluetooth® LE Audio and Auracast™ technology
- Want a discreet, comfortable Receiver-In-Canal (RIC) design with minimal manual adjustments
Beltone Illuminate RIC expands their style offering non-rechargeable 13 or 312 battery operated RIC. Note, some sound processing features are not available within this style.
Our Overall Thoughts

Soundly’s program offers strong savings and flexibility—but it works a bit differently than traditional clinic models.
Here’s why pricing is often lower:
Program Scale
- Our partnerships allow us to offer clear, transparent pricing—passing savings directly to you.
Flexible Ongoing Care
- Many clinics bundle 2–3 years of care into the upfront price. With Soundly, you only pay for ongoing care if and when you need it. Your initial purchase includes unlimited care for the first 60 days, covering the critical setup and adjustment period. After that you can set up a service package or pay as you go (typically around $100 per visit).
All providers in our network are ready to support Soundly customers. The best way to ensure your Soundly price and perks is to:
- Click “Find Local Care”, on this page and get matched to a local clinic
