However there are problems, the biggest of which for me was keeping them in place in my ear canal. The right one in particular would work its way out, even while sitting."

"Learning to live with hearing aids On the bright side, I tried hearing aids that cost 7 times as much as these and don’t recall a significant difference in sound quality. The conclusion I draw from that is the bad news, hearing aids don’t come remotely close to replacing natural hearing. My primary complaint is that I still have trouble hearing people clearly, particularly if there is any ambient noise like car windows rolled down, water running, music, chatter, etc. Nonetheless, I am delighted that Bose has entered the market. If any company can figure out high quality sound, I have to think it will be Bose. I hope so. Please keep the research going! There is progress to be made."

"The directional filtering works like a champ and allows you to not be distracted if you wish...though it is quite nice to also be able to simply enhance everything around you and 'surround' yourself with ambient sounds of conversation and activity if you need the extra noise while reading or enjoying some good tea or coffee. I would definitely recommend SoundControl to someone who is starting to explore their needs for assisted listening. They work great as is out of the box and will enjoy being able to get back into the world listening to everything they have missed."
