While Phonak and ReSound often get more attention for AI-driven features, Signia's dual-chip technology takes a different approach. Instead of dedicating a second chip to AI, Signia uses one chip for noise reduction and another for voice management—based on our tests, that strategy seems to be working. We find that Signia does as well as anyone when managing background noise and outperforms the field with soft talkers.
One standout feature is Own Voice Processing (OVP), which records the wearer’s voice and actively reduces its amplification. This small but crucial adjustment significantly improves comfort, preventing the sensation of hearing your own voice too loudly.
